62312-H4025 ORNAMENT-radiator grille 1972 COUPE

This was used on the JDM 1972 Coupe. The grille stayed the same for 1972 and only the badge changed to the winged-S style

Yes, as the following photos show they were of metal. However official Nissan parts were later made in very high quality plastic as seen with other 1200 badges

Here's the later plastic version. If anything it's too shiny. The metal version had a nickel/chrome finish

Fits any 1200 plastic grille, such as 1970-1973 Coupe, 1972 JDM Coupe, 1974-1976 SA Coupe

Ute Grill, Coupe GX Grill, Coupe DX/GL Grille

fitted 1979-up 1200 ute (this particular ute has the grille chrome blacked out)

Bolts right on, same as the round ornament

Plastic Grille has two bolt patterns, so your coupe can unbolt the round ornament, and then bolt on the Flying-S -- or even the late Ute ornament

Would love one of the original metal ones or even one of the round 'S' badges.

I remember years ago someone in Australia was selling a billet version of the flying S badge on ebay all the time. But I haven't seen them for years and have only seen a couple of the genuine ones for sale in Aus over the last 15 years.

yeah i got my JDM badges in Japan, genuine Nissan and much cheaper than eBay

There are two version of the Flying-S, but the other version DOES NOT FIT the coupe grille

This one's telltale is the fluted/scalloped edging

Grille badge has smooth round edge

The other version has horizontal bolts, so it won't bolt to the grill:

Contrast with grille badge's diagonally arranged bolts:

So DD what did the horizontal Flying S badge come on and was it a grille badge or did it sit somewhere else. I'm sure someone could adapt it to the diagonal bolt pattern with some JB Weld.

P.S. If you want to sell one of your collection send me a message

How much ya paying for the round "s" for metal grill?

I have the flying "s" on my coupe

I was under belief they came on all JDM (true meaning) models

Do we need pics of the sedan "S" badge for the wiki?

I'm keen for an S to suit a plastic grille. I couldn't help but notice you had that 'Flying S' one on your coupe.
You should see about getting it scanned and make some 3D copies to sell.
