Hi all
I'm referring to the datsun 1000 and 1200 blocks. What are the external differences if any? Can a a12 block be disguised as an a10 block?

Externally the biggest difference is: A10 does not have a block breather

A10

A12

Not only is it missing the hole for the breather, the entire raised section around the breather tube is missing on the A10 block

Everything else on an A10 can be changed (newer head, oil pan, restamp with "A12" etc.)

Cool thankyou

Our laws here say I can turbo or supercharge the original motor but being that the a10 is a 3 bearing crank, im not sure how well the bottom end would take it lol. I know the a12 handles boost pretty well and also the high rpm
