According to my Sunny [B310] owners manual, both the A12 & the A15 use a tappet setting of .35mm, or 14 thou. I guess that the A14 is the same.

When the engine is thoroughly hot, remove the plugs & rocker cover. Rotate the crankshaft untill the rockers on number 4 cylinder are "on the rock" That is, with the exhaust valve just closing, & the inlet just opening. Adjust number 1 cylinder. Vice versa also holds true.

The same thing applies with numbers 2 & 3 cylinders. Just rotate the crank in half turn increments & watch the valves. When the valves for nimber two cylinder are on the rock, then adjust number three.

The two end cylinders are linked, & the two center cylinders are linked. Do it this way & you need to turn the crank only two rotations & you will get it right every time.

Removing the plugs just makes it easy to turn.

I think if you get the #1 cylinder at top dead center you can adjust valves 1,2,3 and 5. With #4 cylinder at top dead center you can adjust 4,6,7 and 8.
Come to think of it, it takes two rotations to do it this way as well.
Oh well, what ever is easier for you.
