Being the home of good ole boys in pick up trucks, maybe they thought it would get laughed off the streets.

It was because the USA got the ultra cool Mazda REPU (Rotary Engined Pick Up) and we didn't.

It's nature's way of ensuring a even balance of cool little trucks around the world so that they don't all congregrate on one side of the planet and send the earth spinning off it's axis and into the sun.

I think the ute is very cool looking, just wish we had some over here, and as for the mazda , I haven't seen any of them around here at all.

Here is a site: http://mazdarepu.com/

They might not be the prettiest of pickups, but they come standard with a rotary!

The 1200 ute is a cool looking car though. It's just a shame that the only place you can still buy one new is South Africa.
