Hey all I have been searching around trying to find out what the correct oil filter is to use on my A15, I was told to use a Z145a filter but it is too big?, also what is the firing order for the engine? I am assuming the engine rotates clockwise which would also mean the distributor rotates clockwise too? and the cylinder numbers are counting from one to four firewall to grille?

Hi Blofy,

In regards to the oil filter i use a Z191A which is off a 4AGE toytoa motor, only because it is shorter as i have a winged sump. i think off memory the proper one to use is a Z101.

The firing order is 1,3,4,2 Number one being at the thermostat end, number four at the fire wall end.

Firing Order: same as A12 (and nearly all four cylinders)

Rotation: Same as A12 (it is the direction the advance unit points, rule of thumb for all engines).

Oil filter: Use the same as A12. There are several Nissan part numbers for a-series engines, but they all fit on a rwd A-series engine.
