Im looking for a ca18det with gearbox in vic to go into my ute.Must be complete with turbo,alternator ect also prefer with engine loom but computer not needed

Sometimes it proves to be a better proposition to buy a whole donor car. Preferably a rust out or a rollover. This way you get ALL the matching bits, like loom & computer, along with filters, fuel tank pump etc, etc. You may be able to sell some parts to get some cash back, then when you're finished, ring the scrappie & tell 'em to haul it away.
Check the trading post for a couple of weeks, it might just save you some grief, & some cash. It's worth a look.

On the same note as dodgeman there is a rolled over silvia with ca18det going for about 3500 or there abouts in the tradingpost at the moment. Could be worth a look?

With a rollover, at least you can maybe hear the engine run?
If you buy a second hand engine/loom, I guarantee that you'll still be searching for parts in 6 months time.

Cutting corners only serves to get you running on two wheels! (metaphorically speaking)

As Dattodude has said, with a rollover or a rust out, you can likely hear it run, & you may even be able to drive it [not on the street], but the beauty of it is in all the little fiddly bits. Stuff as simple as a clip, or a hose that would otherwise mean another trip to the auto parts store or the wrecker, & another few bucks forked over.

If i go with plan B for my coupe [CAxxDE] then i will be dragging home a cheap Exa.
