I finally got the photos of my mates V8 1200 coupe posted. It is a real car they are not faked photos. It has been running around my town for nearly 6 mths now. These photos were taken a
couple of days before it fired up. You will notice it has a pretty solid rollcage and bracing set up in the engine bay to stop the poor thing ripping itself to bits. The Chev has all the
good gear and on the dyno running rich produced 460 HP at the wheels!! It runs a 4 speed Super T10 gearbox throught to a narrowed Ford diff. The brakes on the front are now Series 5 Rx7
discs and 4 pot calipers. The rear has discs and twin calipers one set for the handbrake. Hydraulic handbrakes are illegal in NZ but the rule is that the handbrake must be operated by a
cable...it is the original cable is shortened and pulls a lever which activates a master cylinder, so far we've got away with it. At first it had a locked diff with a spool but broke 2 axles
before a LSD was put in it. I'm building a front crank support at the moment after a big rev to impress some girlies in tight shorts snapped the crank! This car is awesomely fast but would
be lethal in the wrong hands.
