Can you keep it idoling by resting your foot on the accelerator slightly? Can you still drive it? if yes does everything feel normal?

it sounds like the butterfly in the carby is shutting to much.
adjust the throttle cable so that the butterfly is more open.
TIP: make it so that it idle to fast (say 1500 revs) then drop it back from there.

i hope there is some easy way to adjust the throttle cable on the a14

are you using a standard carby?it sounds like the idle solenoid is not working.this is the hexagonal piece coming out of the side of the carby with a wire going to it.this solenoid cuts off the fuel at idle.the wires are fragile & will break off,or the wire might not have been connected.it could also be a blown fuse cutting
power to this.i've seen all three things happen,& the car just wont idle, unless you crack the throttle slightly.could be worth a look.

What carb are you using? The fuel pump wont be the problem if its supplying enough fuel during boost i think and you say it drives as normal.
I was having similar problems just befor my turbo broke so I pulled off the carb (webber 32/36) and rebuilt it with a kit from RIPCO (repco) for $50 or something when it all went back on it didnt fix the problem I wanted it to but it fixed the idol.
Also noticed there was a fair bit of carbon build up on the primary side of the carb maybe this crap blocks off the idol passages and just needs some regular attention.

I also fitted a stoichiometer more for making sure i dont lean out on boost but comes in really handy for tuning your carb.
