not sure of exacts but over the same distance in my cars, the a15 used lees than an a12 in stock form by about $7 a week. But once added 32/36 and extractors to a15, it was a bit worse.
I figure as you dont have to rev the car as hard with an a15, it uses less petrol as all you do is ride to torque wave.

An A15 will easily get 30+ mpg on the highway at 80mph. You should get around 26-28 in the city even with a weber 32/36

Also depends on your driving style.
Also depends on the car.

The A12 in a Datsun 1200 only got 38mpg. A14 in B210 got 47mpg! And some engine in B310 got 50mpg!!!

some cars are more aerodynamic and such, that front airdam helps a lot too if you have one.

I'd think the A14 MT4 would get the best mpg, but who knows, datsuns always got good mpg when driven reasonably.

the factory mpg for the 81 210 (sunny 310 whatever ) with A15 MT5 was around 28 +/- 2 can't remember if that was city or highway, but i think city.

The B210 fuel economy champ was the 5-speed model. From 1976-1/2 through 1978, it had the 63-series overdrive, and a raised port cylinder head -- an A14 with round-ports!

This was the 50mpg model! (correcting my above statement)

50 mpg B-210 Plus

The number one factor for Sunny fuel economy was not aerodynamics, which were all bad like every 1970s car. The #1 factor was lowering the engine revs to cut down on pumping losses in the engine.

The B310 best was only 47mpg. I don't know which engine it was we got A12A, A14 and A15 models.
