to day it was sanded with 400#,
800#
1200#
and 1500# took a long time but got there ,
then hit it with the polish and this is how it ended up ,keeping in mind the very first pick i put up of it ,i think its a bit of an improvement......

hahahaha this may be true, but if it helps you out any im on a very tight budget myself ,this is why i do as much things myself as you have already seen ,the differnt range of things ive sone so far!!

i find its very satisfying to produce your own work to a reasonable standard too,

can you imagine if you sent parts to be painted here, things to be polished there,
engine to be built there ,panels to be fixed there, the cost would be just unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!! you would be broke ten times over !!!!

so to do as much things your self not only saves you mega bucks ,but then you get your own sense of satisfaction at the end of it ,you can say"i done that" and know that you didnt just sent your stuff or car to some yoke head to work on it for you, like so many people do these days,

this kind of anoys me also ,when you hear some one say that they have built this #### hot car, when in reality they didnt build it ,all they did was send it here and there for all the work to be done by someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now while im on the subject,i myself will have to take the ute to a few places ,ie
exhaust ,wheel aligment things like that that i dont have the gear to do or i just dont know how to do it ,

all im saying is ,if you can physicaly do something your self,or have the ability to learn something new and give it a go ,then why not do it !!!!

i dont know ,thats just how i do things ,

i hope your enjoying the thread and maybe learning something new in the process, good luck with your project car

hey mate,
do you do a clear coat over things you have polished? or just leave it how it is? i gather that if you dont clear it, you would have to polish it once a week or so to stop it rusting yeah?
