hey,

had a 2 inch system put on ute today, it's got exhaust manifold and the piping bolts onto that in a very crappy fashion (not the exhaust places fault, it's just the way they are) anyway, i'm looking to buy a set of extractors for the a12 will the exhaust i just had put on be able to fitted to them (extractors) pretty easily?

also will this help the car run better?

Iv got a pretty standard A12 with a 1 and a half inch system with extractors and single muffler.Mines been done by the previous owner and he just welded the extractors straight to the exhaust piping. Its all 1 peice. 2 inch maybe 2 big?

2" will be fine, i ran a 2" system off the cast manifold on a bog stock A12 with no problems.
since getting the A12 rebuilt to go fasssst it now has a 2.5" mandrel bent system from the extractors collector.

have a read of this old thread and have a look here for results on the 2.5" system results

When fitting extractors, have the exhaust shop weld bolt up flanges to the extractors and the system. That way makes it easier to pull the motor without pulling all the manifolds apart.

If you find the pipe is to big and offers little back-pressure, you could opt to put in a reducer pipe to improve torque.

Have another bolt-up flange added to the trailing end of the reducer to connect to the rest of the bigger system.

This will allow you to drop the reducer if you want an open system for the drags ect.
