New shocks in the Sunny ... bit if a problem

Hi - just thought someone might know the answer to this one...

Got new shocks from a friend (2nd hand but almost new). Took the struts out of the Sunny, finally got that massive nut off the top of the shock (that holds it into the strut), exploded oil all over myself and got them out.

Went to put my new gas ones in but do they come with a new nut (possibly called gland nut??), because mine didn't. So I tried to use the old nut and there is no way they will fit.

If anyone knows if they do come with a new nut, is there anywhere I can get one from?

Thanks everyone!

Everywhere I call claim that they dont have anything to suit....

Does anyone have any? Maybe I will call the makers of the shocks.

take the struts down to your local engineering shop they will spin a couple up for you. It could cost a bit to have some made, alternatively they should be able to tell you the thread form so you can hassle any industrial bolt suplier.
