I dont follow prices to much but for 5000 i recon you will get a pretty good ute with out any rust.
Stock engines go for ever with out to much maintaince but dont expect a benchmark in performance
common probs are rust mainly in sill pannel under the doors and in the tray.

i got offered 9,000 for my ute, it's only a A15 custom interior, i should've taken it but i love my baby too much, plus after spending 2500 on the engine i figure i'll wait a bit before selling.

A series problems you ask, SLOWWW but very reliable, work it a little and you can hav a respectable ford eater!!!
Expect to pay no less than 5500 for a semi decent 1200 ute, thats with a little bit of rust, okay spray job and an A series engine.

it depends on the sellers circumstance, if you want a ute that has had all the right things done to it u'll pay the money for it, but if you want sumthin you can muck around with maybe have sum fun learning a bit more about the car you can get sumthin reasonably cheap. i know a bloke in brissy whos lookin to sell a recently resprayed ute. everything is there its only 3/4 put back together, every time he and his old man try to work on it they end up fighting, so they're gettin rid of it cheap.

In other words, theres lots of utes out there so shop around and get wat u REALLY want. You're the man with the money after all

yea cheers, i just checked one out 2nite and it was i white stock one with most of the big rust repaired but it still has little spots through out the car and needed a new door and he wonted $3400.
Is a A15 motor a lot $$ to put in? i think best getting one with a paint job and no rust for about $5-7 grand. And how much is the ute in BRIS going for? cheers 4 tha help guys
