HI EVERYBODY, I AM BRAND NEW TO THE FORUM SO TAKE IT EASY ON ME!! I HAVE A QUESTION I NEED ANSWERED TONIGHT IF AT ALL POSSIBE. i HAVE FOUND A SET OF LOWBACK SEATS IN A 1000 2DR SEDAN
WITH THE STEEL LEVERS UP THE SIDE, ARE THESE THE SAME AS MY 69 1000 COUPE SHOULD HAVE (HAS OTHER SEATS)OR DO I WANT THE ONES WITH THE PLASTIC LEVER DOWN NEAR THE BASE????????????????????ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

the two door sedan seats are not the same as the coupe seats but may still work ok?

Coupe seats are unique. The bolt positions are vertical front and back. The sedans as you may have noticed are horizontal.

I'm not sure of a 'bolt in' replacement... I modified 2dr sedan seats to fit my coupe (welded L brackets front and back to the rails).

SORRY! does this mean that genuine coupe seats are not obtainable? or does someone no someone? i dont care if they need trimming. Q. are the 2dr sedan seats worth $100? they need to be trimmed 2

I have Suzuki swift seats in mine (the orange one)
And unknown seats modified into the other

They are very hard to come across. I've owned 4 coupes and none have had the original seats in them.

$100 is a bit much for 2dr seats in need of a trim. I'd pay $50-$60 for a pair.

You can fit the 2door seats but you need to run nuts and bolts as the holes are there in the coupe but the threaded inserts are in the wrong spot.

It's a bit of mucking about but it can be done...
