I have a 120Y that needs a whole lot of TLC...! I currently have a A14 that i want to put into it. I wanna knwo what gearbox i'll need or what will work? I also have a set of 40mm Weber Sidadraughts that i wanna use, will they be of any benefit and what else then could i do to the A14 motor to up the power a bit?

The gearbox thats in it now will work with the A14, put some extractors on it if you want it to go a bit better.

if youre after just a bit more urge from it without going all out... extractors yes, but its the rest of the exhaust system thats really restrictive, upgrade to a 2" system with free flow muffler, a nice mild cam as well.

56a 4 spped gearbox will work as long as your not doing burnouts and hard launches/flat shifting all the time. Other wise try and find a 60a 4 speed or if $$$ allow a 5 speed. Its all in the wiki

Thanks for the input guys, i will have to look from scratch for a box because i bought the car as a complete shell, no engine and box. Here in S.A (South Africa) we've only just stopped production on the 1400 LDV, so i am thinking that box would work? And, its 5 speed...

yeah the sa 5 speed will work fine... so send a few free to aus for the advice... 1 to me specifically
