Ok, so I drove my coupe around for about 45 mins with the new engine before I stuffed the A10 gearbox, at least I think its the box. It might be the clutch.. (its hard to put into
and out of gear, and also makes a grinding noise when i push the clutch pedal down ) I'll have a good look in the daylight tommorrow.

James,

btw, my A-series turbo setup is still for sale

Speaking of A10 coupes (which I think are great little machines!) there are a couple of them getting around in Hobart.
One I have seen driven buy an old guy and lady, it is fully restored with gloss red paint and heaps of chrome. Its bog stock standard but looks heaps shmick.
The other I have not seen but have been told about. It supposedly runs a turboed A15. Shweeet!
It has done some drag meets up at the dragway and is road rego'd. Havent seen it around on the streets (SHAME!). These are the only two I have seen in the state, and this red one
is a real beaudy, love to get my mitts on it!
Cheeers

Fellow on the OZDAT list posted this and said that us 1200 drivers are welcome to, so if you are interested let him know...another fellow replied that he is thinking of starting
up a datsun club in Perth, so we will see how that pans out.....

Hi to all Western Australian listers,
It seems there are a few of us from the West on this list.
I was thinking it would be great to get a bunch of 1600 owners together in
the same place to chat, swap parts and show off our cars. I know some of you will be in the middle of working on your vehicles and
may not have a road-going 1600 currently, but you could come along anyway
(extra gold star if you arrive in another desirable Datsun/Nissan ;o)
There doesn't seem to be a specifically Datsun 1600 club in the West and I'm
not really interested in creating a formal club, I just think it would be
cool to meet up once in a while -maybe go for a drive and BBQ in the hills
or something once a month or so. I am free to do so on Sundays, if anyone is
interested they can contact me at rob@profiledigital.com
