Hello,
Is anyone running a non cut or non shortened r31 diff? Is this possible in my 120y? i want to run flares but will this be a bad idea, being that the rear wheels will have a much wider track than the fronts?

Another member was telling me he runs R31 diff in a 120y with guards flared a little and front wheel drive offset rims.

i thought one axle and shaft was longer than the other side, so when you cut them down you left one shaft non cut and then only had to cut one of the diff shafts and respline one axle?

wouldnt that stop you from running it as is as it would sit slightly off center?

one axle is longer than the other to start with mik, so you just use the original short axle as the nw long axle

unshortened r31 diff would be huge in a 120y, 155mm wider or there abouts

could probably get away with it running flares though as 120ys are kinda wide

we have and are running a std r31 in the 120y wagon, using 14 x 6 front wheeldrive off set wheels. The guard have been lipped and just slightly pumped. I would think that you could definatly do it on a 1200 with flares. (50mm flares). I recomend to get a diff and put the wheels on and measure it. The shortining using the small side i think makes the diff too narrow, if handling is what you still desire, and not just straight line speed.
