Who has driven their 1200 the furthest on a single road trip?

I'm curious, I've never been more than 100km on a single trip because my car was P.O.S

What about you guys.. I know that DD has driven from Cali back up to WA... have any of you Aussies driven like from Perth to Brisbane or eqivalent... Im assuming that no-one here has driven across the USA.

Did you drive it with an A series or some other engine... just curious to know.

I drove from Lethbridge, AB to Taber, AB once - google maps it... crazy trip!

Adelaide to bendigo and back in my 1200 coupe to buy parts when i was 18... I ended up buying a 1600 and had to return with a trailer and my uncles 4wd a week later.

Didn't miss a beat and sat on 100+ all day, thats A12 with 155/75x12's stock as a rock.

adelaide to mt gambier and back about 1000km in a datsun 1000 a10 and 13" wheels, was in 1994, another one i had i went all over SA with it 20 yrs ago.
little datsuns are great cars around the city but work as bit hard on the hwy for me.

The farthest for me is from the San Francisco Bay Area down to Long Beach. About 400mi (643km) each way. A12/5spd.

Also, Mt. Shasta, 290mi each way.
South Lake Tahoe, 200mi.

my mate drove exactly that, Perth to Brissy and back in a bunky 1000 2 door,
Race seats, A14 Webers (now in my wagon)dogleg 5 speed, just him and his dog, had a ball

drove canberra to brisbane in tyries old orange 120y auto a12
sat on 110 most the way didnt miss a beat
obviously not that quick up hills lol

Drove from Hastings VIC (tommo73's) back to Armidale NSW Twice on permit's. Including detours with parts drop offs and minor problems. both trips 1400k's each give or take. In bog stock A12,1200 sedan's, 12 inch rims one Auto One Manual. Was fun would do it many times over. Top bloke that Tommo and Supafatto.
