Altenator looks like a direct fit, water pump just needed the centre bored out, and i need to get a old standard crank pulley off a a series to machine down and play with. any one got a old one kickin about they dont need???

okidoki, so i cleaned the garage PROPERLY to make room to work on the coupe. Got it up on some stands, ripped one strut out so i can order right length inserts so i can get cracking with shortening the tubes and getting the coilovers done during this week. Thought id pull a gaurd off so i could look for rust, which i quickly found, and it only got worse from there. So 15 mins later, the windscreen, dash etc is all out, and theres more rust than what i was hopin for. This is really going to test my sheety/panel beater skills, considering im a mechanic lol. Heres some not so happy snaps

ok, so i done a lil bit more this arvo. I removed the top of the plenum i think its called. I drilled out all the spot welds and removed the shiety plates someone dodgy welded in to cover the rest of the rust up. so in the next few days i can get in there and start welding in some plates.

yeh its bad, but ive fixed worse. If you have rust near ya vin plate, ull have rust under it too. Check in the corners under the dash. if its rusty there, itll be the same as this.
