Well i'm gonna bite the bullet and sell my other Datsun 1200 ute. Huge shame as it's not really that far off completion, a few things for someone with the knowhow and it'll be a very neat package. I've only had it for a month or so and have done a fair bit, and it already had a lot done to it. This includes -
Stripped and repainted engine bay
Shaved, smoothed and neatened body, all painted professionally 2 years ago in Holden heron white.
Locked diff
120Y (I think) disc brakes
Brand NEW carpet, plush pile not loop
Carpeted behind seats
Brand new headlining, only just bought it, not even in ute yet. Original cream colour.
Near perfect dash, which i've customised with 1200 coupe tacho and kilometre reading. Looks great. Next to no cracks.
Retrimmed Z32 seats and marine ply door cards in a peanut butter vinyl/leather combo. JUST been finished, still at trimmers. Look AMAAAZING. Were fitted in an old 1200 of mine so should fit in easily. Sample can be seen in pics.
Autotechnica seats, bit dirty but should clean up well.
Custom race prepped A12, has a 10,000 RPM redline and used to run on metho! Custom cam, custom dizzy, fuel pump etc, ported polished the list goes on. Apparently was mental in the 120Y it came out of, would do 4th gear burnouts all day every day, haha unfortunately I don't have specs but it has ben pulled apart and cleaned up at Daltons Automotive in Geelong. Only needs new gasket set which I can help with. If it's put together and dynoed and the buyer is disappointed I will refund them for the motor, but it should see more than 100bhp quite easily.
DATS1T custom plates
And about a million boxes of spares, guards, chrome trims, dash parts, etc etc the list goes on. Will be splitting between this and and my other 1200 for sale.
So why am I selling? I'm moving to Karratha in 2 weeks and simply put I don't have the time to finish it. Why don't I put it in storage? Cos I don't know how long I intend to be away and would rather see it handed to someone who can finish it. What does it need to finish? Dash to be fixed in, is only sitting there atm, hoodlining to be fitted, engine to be fitted, few trims etc exhaust once engine is in (I have a standard and custom exhaust which can be used though) and chrome to be polished. Not very much! If my old man would let me I would bring it home and finish it there but yeah. Such is life. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who wants a near complete project!
While it's no show car there isn't very much needed to finish and make it an awesome little car. The white paint with peanut butter interior should look mint. Looking for offers around $4500
