What coil with pertronix

Hi i have installed my pertronix kit with the supplied coil.
What i want to do is tidy things up so wondering can i run a small gt40t coil?

I just want to boot the ballast resistor, basicaly.

Oh and i did search this topic for a while but sometimes you come out more confused.

Pertronix will say. Early units could.not do a high energy coil, but probably newer prtronic can. Keep in mind tjat gt40 is no stronger tham 1980s nissan ei coil.

You can run the differnet style coil [e.g non oil cooled type] without any problem, Just be sure to varify that your pertronix setup is suited to the [for example sake] GT40 or GT40R coil. Basically the the pertronix unit will either prefer to run at 9volts or is able to handle 12v.

I also run a pertronix setup and still retain the ballist resistor.

The pertronix needs 3ohms which the gt40t is and it can handle 9-12 volts.
so....... it should be ok.
I will get one next pay, i think they are like 80 dollars or something.

I just like the cleaner look, not looking for a performance gain.
