What a beast! But even tho i have a coupe with an a15 i'd rather the GT-R! Amazing car! You seen one of the newest topgear episodes with the 2011 skyline in it D? ceases to amaze! You'll love it!

Heya Nick! Beast TG GTR rundown but as much as I luv it!!!
& to see a super light tuned one to go out and kill all
the top makes at the Nurb the following occurred....
Apart from the Japanese Disasters....

Other day with my lil bro we lifted an RX7 S3 shell at
Centre Road wrecks off the blocks and we noticed how light
& beautifully designed it was, it weighed like a 1k shell.

Then saw this post as well as some Finnish ones & thought
for a fraction of the GTR price, id rather this rx7 with
quality alloy cage, CF panels, MR-10 Lexan glass/hatch, top
alloy suspension, winters all alloy quickchange & to top it
all off works turbo A15 mated to a T5 close ratio box.
Handling, light, aero & simplest datto engine, all in one.

Imagine showing up to a rotary meet with an awesome looking
RX7, run a 10 quarter, then skinning rotary diehards alive
with shock & disbelief after you pop the hood.

Ah yes, the Mazda rotary has fewer parts than an A-series engine. Pity it has a 4-bbl carburetor but you could fit an SU to it I reckon.

Absolutely has fewer moving parts but often overseen
is that it has way more parts in seals and gaskets
than an A series and requires more hard to source
experienced hands at machining & balancing.
Have a look at the exploded view of a rotary with all
its seals and parts for a better idea of this.

10 second A15 RX7 would turn Mr Wankel in his grave

I always expected the RX7 to become the boy racers weapon of choice in place of the 1600, but it never happened, small light great suspension, cheap to buy and came with a hugely tuneable motor straight from the factory, maybe D can turn the trend around.
