Hi, need some help sourcing a new a series starter in Brisbane. Have been given quotes around the $300 mark. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get one a bit cheaper.

Thanks Geoff.

Thanks, yeah I've got a couple off second hand one but would like a brand new one. They seem to be available but was hoping to get one under $200. If not I guess I'll just have to try and clean up one of the old ones. Would be nice to have a new one though with winter coming up.

Thanks Geoff.

Just be aware that there is two different size pinion gears for the A - series motor.

From memory one has 8 teeth 28mm od and the other has 9 teeth 29mm od.

It did make a difference on my application.

check your local wreckers/datsun wreckers sometimes they do remanufactured ones

seen them remanufactured at wreckers for $75 and sold one on ebay for $40
