An inexpensive yet high-quality electronic ignition distributor kit with coil is only like $100. I've sent three to Australia for that.

If you plan to use it on an original A12, I'd go with a $35 Pulsar distributor. It's high energy, can drive plugs with .13 mm gap and only needs the gear transferred from the A12 distributor. If you are putting it on a newer A-series then it requires much more work to use.

Hello ddgonzal, do you have any more for sale? Unfortunately there are no pulsars in Rabaul, or east new Britain.

haha I meant a huge gap of 1.3 mm (.051 inch).

The genuine Nissan parts are so much better than Pertronix, which is only good for the standard 0.9 mm gap.

Larger gaps fire iffy mixtures better, but it needs lots of firepower to do it.

Chris I have one I can sell but the shipping is $45 USD.

I've got a couple of them and I'd sell one cheap but the shipping charges from Vegas might be an issue.

It seems you guys in the USA have a much easier time getting them from pulsars than we do. At the local diy wreckers to me (and even one not so local) the dizzys in question are gone from the car within a day or so of it being put in the yard. I'm told that it's actually 1 or 2 nissan/datsun wreckers that go there, get the distributor, pay the diy wrecker price, and then on sell them for 2-3 times that price. And since they almost make it impossible for anyone else to beat them to the diy yards, they _are_ selling them at such a price.

SO that's the 'preamble' - here's the pitch - would either of you guys be interested in getting, say, 5-10 of them and shipping to Australia? So as not to make it any risk whatsoever for you to do this, I'd be willing to pay for them up front (I'm not suggesting a group buy as such, because they tend to fall apart, and leave someone stranded, I'll happily take on the risk, since I've got a couple of cars I'd put one in in any event, so a 'few' spares) before any are even sourced from the junkyard, let alone being shipped over.

I realise that this is a pain in the backside type of job, so obviously I'd be willing to honor a price that takes into account the amount of time and effort it would take to source that many and also to box/package them. Obviously we can source new distributor caps and ignition leads, so 10 (or 5 if you'd prefer) wouldn't take up a huge amount of space. I'd also be ok with whichever shipping method suits you.

If either of you guys are interested in this, please PM me and we can work out money, and how to get it to you. If not, no hard feelings, I realise it's a big hassle whichever way you look at it :)
