Dude it sounds like it's just the right price for you, but I am looking at it thinking late model, unregistered, air con, mechanically sound!
So why is it so cheap and why is it unregistered?
I would get your dad to have a good look at it for rust, also maybe they forgot to write its been in a smash!
Either way go check it out as it's cheap, but look at it good!

Mate don't get to down and out as your dad is right and I am sure he has been there and done that!
My 1000 isn't even finished but I have most of what I need, and I have calculated awhile back ( Rounding down the numbers not up!)
and it worked out to be over $13000.00 and I still look at it in the garage and can't see it! But I still love it!

Maybe it's for the best what your pops said, and in the future you can learn more about the Datto's and work out what you want from one!
( Maybe even workout how to spend over $25000.00)
