Datsun fans are familiar with the Bob Sharp Racing 510s and Zs. Sharp won the Sports Car Club of America national championships six times racing for Datsun. He introduced Paul Newman to competitive driving in 1972.

and there have been some BRS-inspired paints on 1200s. But was there ever a real BRS 1200? This period brochure suggests it but I can find no photos of one.

Dave I do not think so; Devendorf / Electromotive were the first C-Sedan champs, other front runners were Rob Walker and Bob Grossman. Grossman was/is a Datsun/Nissan dealer and promoted ther dealership.

February 28, 2025. Autoweek:
Quote:
Bob Sharp needed a way to boost sales of the then-new Datsuns on his Connecticut dealership’s lot, which were moving into customer hands at a rate of about 200 a year. So he went racing, first in Datsun 510s, then in 240Zs, then in 300ZXs.

Almost immediately, it worked. Sales increased tenfold, to 2,000 a year...

Bob Sharp passed away last week at 85, a week and a half shy of his 86th birthday.

What was the difference between B-sedan and C-sedan? Both are "under 2 liter"
