Looks grand! Well done.

Tell me one thing how long do the machine impressions last on the surface? What is the recommended way to remove those marks?

I feel a little uneasy about replicating classic designs but I think the 'A-series' badging was well handled. Those newer TOMEI remakes look pretty poor.

Anyway looks great Bede, wonderful job!

Thanks for the kind words guys!
Regarding removal of the machining marks it won't take much at all to get it a mirror like finish. The photos don't do it justice really.

Woops ddgonzal i was meaning the 6.38" AE86 centre.
Ideally we need to track down some side bearings with 40mm ID 72mm OD and approx 19mm for minimal machining. No such luck with google searching as yet.
Sorry for the thread hijack Bede

billet never has the issue of cast,
doesnt go soft, easier to weld,
machine and a more tensile and
drivetrain stability up top.

A bead blast cabinet does a great job getting rid of tool marks.

Hi John, I'm assuming that it is your wife/partner Helen I have been emailing?
She paid me on 17th and I sent it on the 18th (less than a week ago). Have a talk to her and I hope it gets there before Christmas.

Cheers Bede
