Motor mounts are built and welded in. The rubber mounts are from a Land Rover and will last a very long time. There are nuts very securely welded onto the bottom side of the top of mounts welded to the frame of the car. The rubber mounts then screw into the frame mounts.

There were no B210s in '82, but if the car was a 210 and you can see "60" cast into the right side of the case then that is the one you want.

Exactly right. 1981 would be a Datsun model series B310, which was badged as 210 (USA) or Sunny (Japan/ANZAC). Double-check by examining the engine compartment aluminum ID plate

Yes, it will bolt to the A12 engine. The most important swap consideration is the clutch release sleeve

That is 60A 5-speed gearbox, if i'm not mistaken. It's the only one with the boss jutting out of the left side

I opened the engine up to do the rings before I put it back in the car but found the inside was not as perfect as I had thought. The biggest problem is that there is a gouge in cylinder wall #4 from rust. It looks like the engine blew a head gasket, leaked water into the cylinder, was parked in the junk yard for a couple of years, transplanted into the MG with a new gasket then driven many years after. Either cylinder #4 will have to bored out and have a sleeve fitted to return it to stock dimensions (that's my first preference) or all four cylinders will have to be bored out and fitted with larger pistons (very expensive). It also turns out that I have a flat cam shaft that may or may not be able to be reground. As of right now, I'm on the more-difficult-than-I-thought search for internal parts.

Per chance do you get down to Vegas ever? I have an A12 short block (was a good running motor) that you can have for free. The only thing I don't have for it is an oil pan but you have one already. You can take the A15 round port head if you need it.

I also have another A12GX short block that was my spare before I switched to A14 power. Naturally I'd want money for that but you can have it for what the machine shop charged me plus the parts cost ($375-400) I'll give you the receipts. I have 74mm flat top pistons. I even have a 14lb A15 flywheel that would be perfect for the 60 series box. Again I'll throw in everything I have for A12s; gaskets, extra crank, bearings, distributors etc. I'd like clear out some space in my garage.

As for cost of fixing you're block a few years ago when I built the A15 it needed a sleeve; price for boring the block, installing the sleeve decking the block and installing pistons on rods was $450.
