Certainly the OCR is much improved with marginal photos. Plus the translation part is vastly better than ten years ago It depends on how clear the photo is of course, and the ones here aren't that great -- they have plenty of resolution pixels but the contrast is bad. So google missed a few characters and recognized four of them wrong. But the translation is immediate, and by reading it I could see which sentence was weird (like "Installation Chain", that didn't sound right). After correcting eight characters (by hand) I got the correct text. Didn't save much time but the frustration level was way down. It did not seem like an impossible task Posted on: 1/17 3:19
