Go to a reputable tailshaft maker. To save money take your own secondhand gearbox yoke and diff flange. If not they can get them new. You need to have motor and box mounted and diff mounted, then take measurement from diff flange to the back of the gearbox output shaft. Expect $500-800

I'm looking at doing the same thing for my 1200 coupe with an SR20.

First quote I got a while ago was $850. After all my wiring is done I'll be looking into it to get it done as soon as I can.

some ford fairmonts with the Borgy diff have the alloy tailshaft behind v8 and straight 6
a worthwhile big of gear, cheap and strong but needs alloy welding expert.

I got my steel tailshaft shortened, welded and balanced for 90 clams back in 1995
ah the good old days!

Does Tibas charge that much now? It irritates me how much driveshaft/tailshaft prices are all over the map -- it pays to shop around
