Firstly thanks to this site that i got introduced to 1200 Coupe, i currently have a 80' B-310 Sedan.
i have been looking to buy one for last 4 months since i learned about it on this site, i had a chance to buy a sedan or a 2 dr sedan, but (no offence) they r not good looking to my taste atleast. yesterday i got to c not one but 2 coupes in a day, within 30 minutes of each other!
now the Questions is:
first one i saw was in good condition but way expensive, it had Tacho meter and Clock in it, even seat vinyl was original and looked new.
the second one i saw wasnt in good condition(but workable) but a third of first one's price and in my reach. but it didnt have tacho or clock in it!
what r these 2 models? what r other differences? and any difference in performance?
both were A-12 though.
i am going to buy the cheaper one next month or maybe another coupe which my cousin saw today near our place!
BTW it looked way cool in real then in any pic

Hi barkpk,

There may be no difference except that one has the clock and tach.

If they both have the same emblems (badges) like "Deluxe" or no badge then they are the same.

The A12 engine should be the same in all models except the rare GX model, which probably was only sold in Japan.

That might be true of other countries, but every coupe I have ever owned came without a factory tach. I'm in the USA, incidentally.

The original Tach used to be available from Nissan Motorsports, but it only goes to 8,000 rpm. You can buy a nice 10,000 rpm or similar 3.5 inch tachometer and it will fit in nicely where the original tach goes. I use a 3.5" Sunpro white face 10,000 rpm tach w/built in shift light. It cost about $100 US and works great. Good luck

Hi, all our coupes in Australia were fully imported from Japan and were deluxe trim and you could order a factory fitted 5 speed
they all came std with a tacho, carpet, heater etc.I was lucky a few years back to by the last new option clock for a coupe.
In my 2 door sedan that I am restoring I will be using a tacho dash from a coupe and also a clock from a late ute both of these are interchangeable and with some minor modifications you can fit a clock/tacho in the coupe console
