you kinda need to explain how you plan to set it up

installing the pump is as simple as a positive and negative wire, an in and out fuel line, and some sort of bracket to hold it down

and you need to remove/block the old mechanical pump

but without knowing what pump and regulator you plan to use its hard to give any further advice

Yes, as 1200rc says, it is super-simple. I used a (79 honda?) pump, it has it's own bracket. One wire. No regulator (it's a 5-pound pump). I simply bolted it to an existing bolt on the firewall. I hear you can even leave the old pump on the block, although removing it looks cleaner.

Here's the one I used:

I connected mine to the + side of the coil resistor (or for electronic ignition, straight to + side of distributor). This is only hot when key is on Start or Run.

But for the Holley Blue, please follow Holley's instructions. If you don't have them, check Holley's web site. It may draw too much current for the coil wiring and may need a relay.

This is how I wired my car in anticipation for an electric pump. The oil pressure switch turns on the fuel pump relay when there is oil pressure. With no oil pressure, the relay turns off and the dash light turns on.
I submitted this pic for a related post that I'll try and find.
edit- here it is

If you read the directions carefully they also recomend that you mount the pump as close as you can to the fuel tank.
