hi guys

after nearly 4 years one of the old sealed beams has retired.

can anyone give me a part number for a replacement headlight assembly with replaceable halgen globes?

i asked my parts guy and all he could come up with was a 'narva' headlamp, but the glass section was flat instead of a dome and it had an inbuilt parking light in it.

im after a headlight that looks the same as standard, but with replaceable globes.

and i dont want those crystal things..

thanks in advance

All the halogen headlights Ive seen have been flat.

Ive got Hella H4's I think they are in the daily and they are flat glass with the inbuilt parkers. If you run standard watt globes you wont have to make any mods to your wiring, its only if you want real bright buggers you need to add in a relay.

You can get either. Just goto a few parts shops and have a look around. Their usulaly in a dusty old box neer the floor somewhere with all the other sealed beams (you want semi-sealed beams).

I have Narva +50 H4 globes in mine and their great! heaps of light!

I got the hella direct fit replacments from my local parts shop in South Africa, they are semi rounded in the front and take H4 bulbs (no park light), I think they were about $30au if im not mistaken each, look good and really help at night (not that it gets driven at night very often)

ange i also used the hellas in my ute with some aftermarket "bright white" globes that i bought from supercheap.

part no. 1058
178mm dia
Q.H. Headlamp insert
high/low beam insert
ADR Compliance

that is everythign that is written on the box that they came in. the lights are an easy install/upgrade and they took me about 30mins to remove and replace the new ones and i have no idea in electrical wiring stuff so i got a mate to look over it for me and he said i done it all perfect. hopefully this helps ya
