Got nothing planned this week end, come up and have a look at Queensland biggest rally.

This year the rally is a round of the Asia Pacific round as well as a round of the Aus. Rally Championship.

The racing takes place at Imbil which is approximately an hour and a half north of Brisbane.

Here's the details

I'm running in the 'All Comers Class' car No. 53.

you break an axle Gary? what happened?
still, you must have been honking, times looked good? 2nd on day two and good times on day one- you obviously deserved to be seeded there! good stuff.

Thanks Morgan - I actually stripped 4-5 teeth off the crown wheel.

This was the first time I've ever taken a spare diff to a rally before, funny how things work eh.

This was a pacenote event which I don't really like, I'd much prefer a blind rally anyday, this and just having corrective surgery on my eyes made for some fairly 'exciting moments' which lead me to have a moment with a bank, it's when I reversed off the bank I stripped the diff.

At the beginning of the last service on day two we were running third behind car 59 by about 15 seconds, I'd thought I'd have a go at second spot, and put a bit of time between us, plan worked out well.

you run a H190 don't you? I thought they would be virtually unbreakable behind an A series. Did you have a spare LSD or did you swap your LSD over to the spare diff? surely wasn't an open diff?
good show anyway.
I tell you I could almost be convinced to move over there, climate so good, nice people, and lot's of datsuns still going hard! top 5 allcomers seeds all datsuns!! you wouldn't even get 5 datsuns total in a rally in NZ these days. quite a few rallys with no datsuns in fact

In the Sunny sedan I'm running a beefed up H165 Nismo LSD centre and in the red coupe I will be running a H190 Nismo LSD centre.

The spare diff I took was locker, I just swapped the centres over, (in the back of a Commadore station wagon)

You (and all of your Datsuns/parts) your partner would be most welcome in S.E Qld.
