its not easy to put a price on any rebuild, all depends on what needs doing & replacing, also the type of workmanship your willing to pay for."very rough" quote would be around $1000-$2500 depending on problems.plus any extra mods that you would like,EG; higher comp/mod cam/valve springs/balance/head work the list goes on & on at extra costs.i can help supply parts or build if your interested.i have rebuild kits & all the things you may need to do the job, i'm in sydney

BigE is the man for the job ,realy know his stuff !
I rebuilt an a15 and it has cost me a lot more than I first expected to pay but it is done properly
A15 block ,bored 40 thou Ga16 pistons and rings Stock rods close and honed. With ARP bolts H89 head with big lift valve springs ,new valves and guides 3 angle job on the valves 4 into 1 Extractors Bpro inlet manifold Twin 40 mm carbs Braided fuel line Msd 6al2 ignition Balanced bottom end with new bearings Lightened Flywheel and an extreme organic clutch Fair big cam ,dialed in
I know roughly what ive spent but I know most wont believe me if i told them
But before you can price it up ,the motor needs to be stripped and checked out ,it could just need a hone a crank polish and bearings rings and gaskets ,but it might not be that simple , it could need alot more work
Ide pull it down and suss it out ,if it needs a heap of machine work it might be easyer to find one that's in better condition and rebuild it instead
BigE is the best person to see about rebuilding or hotting up an a series
