hey all, have got all my turbo stuff ready to go in etc,

just having trouble finding a diagram of exactly what to weld on the dizzy, yes i know it is the mechanical advance to stop detonation, just looking for a pic or diagram of exactly how much to weld etc, don't want the dizzy to advance 30 degrees and mr big bang happen.

thanks, will post up build sometime, currently repairing body work, has mild cam and weber carb, locked diff, just want a little bit more power for hektic skids.

thanks

See these slots? Unbolt the part, then weld the slot to limit how long the slot is. Shorter slots mean very little mechanical advance. You could weld it so the pins barely fit in (no advance), but it is beneficial to have some advance on a turbo.

Here's a good picture showing the slots JB-Welded to severely limit mechanical advance.

Ah awesome I thought it might have been that, thanks for the pics and explanation, turbo is only a t25 and have a weber (turbo) hat coming, then just to rejet the carby, not after massive power hoping to see around the 50kw mark at the wheels, roughly a 20/30% increase, only thing, where do I take the oil supply from to supply the turbo? And the coolant? Hmm

Typo before turbo is a t15, small but should be fine for this little 1.2, it's a gt1544 to be exact, only thing I'm having problem is with it I can't find a dump pipe to suit. :( can get the flange just can't find remade dump,
