Hi everyone :)

Does anyone know if there is a statement from Datsun/Nissan, regarding what power the chassi can handle?

Like Opel and the Kadett C, in the picture, it states what modifications you have to make for it to handle rated power safly ( in this case be able to breake good enough)

Does there exist anything alike for the 120Y/B210 or alike Datsuns?

Best regards
Tobias

There is no such statement, because the 1200 was never offered with a larger engine, not even in Japan

The PB110 was offered with 85 HP in the PB110. If there is documentation about how they strengthened it, it would likely be in Nissan Service Bulletin "No. 207 Introduction of Sunny Excellent 1400 (PB110 Model Series)" March 1971. I have never seen this book, but it comes up for sale on Yahoo Auctions Japan fairly often

That might be the answer, thanks.

But what about sedans and coupés with the a15 engine?

The 1200 was never offered with an A15 or A14 or L16 engine. Neither was the 120Y. There was a version of the B210 with L16 engine, and it has totally different suspension, axles, chassis, basically everything was different. It wasn't just a 120Y with a few changes.

If there was a "staatliche technische Überwachung hessen (TÜH)" for the B210, it would be filed with the Deutsch government. I haven't heard of any similar document in the English-speaking world. If you find out more information, please let us know
