HI
I just noticed my car is making like a rattling noise coming from the front its like there's a loose metal/front bumper or something, but I checked it and everything's tight and secure.
this noise happens when I press the accelerator pedal halfway and accelerating from low speed its like the car is having difficulty pulling or loosing power down low.
Rattling noise only when accelerating, when idling there's no noise - perfect
might be my carb mixture??

Please advise

it's probably pre-ignition,the fuel mixture is igniting before it should.this is NOT GOOD.it can kill motors quickly.you should check the mixture, not too lean or rich.check the timing isn't overadvanced - 10-12 degrees.maybe it's a possible blown headgasket, usually it's between two cylinders,so theres no water in the oil.it could also be poor fuel quality (low octane rating).the best thing to do when you hear this rattling is to lift off the accelerator,or possibly use a lower gear,as the rattling is also load related,& a higher gear puts more load on the engine.it's called the hiroshima hammer dance for a very good reason.

have you got someone to give revs while you check under the hood? that way you'll be able to tell if its internal or just a loose fitting.

I think its my fuel mixture, its very hard adjusting it I cant get it right...
im pretty sure nothing's loose
it goes when you ease up pushing down the accelerator pedal
What's the tool for measuring the fuel mixture on a12 stock carb?

I notice that I have to keep puting more oil after a month, but there's no leak or anything...
might be my pistion or head gasket being really worn out?

have you worked out where the rattle is coming from yet? from under the rocker cover or where?

It doesnt make the noise when its parked and just revving the engine...
it makes the rattling noise when you push the pedal half way down to fully down and accelerating. The noise goes away if you lightly just push the pedal down while accelerating.

Could even be a big end bearing known as the "death rattle", sometime you wont heart that rattle till the revs come up a bit and the piston starts smacking the #### out of the heads.

Whatever it is it doesn't bode well
