Starting august 1979 -- factory aircon installation with new compressor type. It is a very nicely designed unit, however the interior cooler protrudes into the passenger legroom and precludes using a package tray.

Overview
From October 1979 a uniform kit was offered with DKKC (Diesel Kiki) radial-type compressor.

This kit is beautiful and easy to install. Unfortunately the interior cooler unit is bulky and protrudes farther into the passenger legroom than other types.

Vents may be opened or closed:
Twin Condensors and Liquid Tank with connecting pipes.
Condensor-to-Liquid Tank hose is routed along the top of core support.
Compressor is mounted low on left side of engine.

Bracket is identified with 1) low-mount idler pulley 2) two large oval opening in bracket

Interior Unit
The inside unit is a one-box solution comprising evaporator core, vents, switches and fan, and fits underneath the passenger side of the dash.
