B310 came in many different trim level packages from basic to sporty and on to luxury. Trim packages names vary by country, but include low-cost Standard (STD), regular Deluxe (DX), luxury GL (Grand Luxury), up-market SL (Super Luxe) and superb GX (Grand Luxury).

Located in the engine compartment on the firewall, the 1980-up Nissan Identification lists the codes for the trim level. Unfortunately the 1978-1978 identification plate did not list the trim code.

SGL was offered beginning with the B310, and replaced the GL-L trim of the previous generation B211.
Super Grand Luxury (SGL) features included all GL items, plus:

- Extra Safety Monitor bulbs (idiot lights)
- Rear window Washer/Wiper (SGL/SGX)

USA trims included Standard, MPG, Deluxe and SL.
MPG was a special package based on Standard but with a high-economy FU Engine package and 5-speed.
