For your headlamps to work at full potential -- whether stock or high power -- they must be aimed correctly.
[edit]
Procedure
With your 1200 on a flat, level surface, point the headlights at a wall 25 feet (8 meters) in front. Mark the wall with tape at the same height as the center of the headlights.
- The center of the low-beam light should be 2" (2.5 cm) below this light, and a little to the right (for countries that drive on the right side of the road) or to the left (for countries that drive on the left).
- The center of the High-beam lights should be centered on the line.
Turn the adjusting screws to adjust the beam left-right or up-down.
