There are two studs on the back of the plate. It fastens with two nuts.

620 Plate
You might be able to use a Datsun 620 Truck delete plate. It looks to be exact same shape and size.
However, this 620 plate snaps on (it has tabs on the back). The 1200 plate has two studs on the back of the plate.
