rear section of cage with double diagonals in rear stays. rear stays are also braced to base of main hoop which you can't really see in this shot.
took ages to prep and paint. floor and roof were taken back to bare metal to remove all the body deadening. But it was worth all the effort.
The difference in the way the car feels and handles on the track is just amazing! |

finally got the pics of my new cage from my mate with the camera...
double intrusion bars, front legs closely follow contour of body and are tied into the A pillar (see reflection). main hoop braced to front legs. and diagonal member in roof.
It's a little dark, but you can also see I treated myself to the Sparco wheel I've always wanted :)
Took about 4hrs just to cut the dash out to fit around the front legs of the cage. Then it had to be assembled in place - bare steel frame mounted first, then dash pad, etc etc |
