 Re: diy port and polish this is my past 2 days efforts nah its not just you. ive got more work ahead of me. ive been using a triton rotary tool to grind it away and then polished with some wet and dry. is their a reason that you suggested 80 grit?

 Re: diy port and polish this is my past 2 days efforts Yeah 80 grit is what you what to finish it off with.It will give you the best fuel/air anodization.
If you go to smooth the fuel will stick to the walls of the port if you go to rough it will cause to much friction giving less air flow.
Use 80 on the inlet side(ports and manifold)
Then mirror finish the exhuast ports.
