helps when you work with the person painting it, you can give them gentle reminders. While mine's getting done I ride a motorbike to work so I can say things like it was cold riding the bike this morning, be good to get that ute finished etc.

 Re: ute
its Cause your downsizing the picture to much.

sometimes when you compact the picture so much these ripples happen. i use "steckch and skew" in paint to downsize my pics, only some get ripples when i do to much

 Re: ute
b120, thanks for the tip, I didn't know mspaint could do that.

I stopped using Microsoft Photo Editor some time ago for that reason: it uses a poor jpeg quality when resizing pictures (and there doesn't seem to be an option to change the quality level it uses). I have an old version, maybe the new one is better.

Looks good, but I still don't understand to this day why the light black paint is used. Is it to see all the imperfections or what? I thought the whole panel would have to be lightly sprayed in some glossy stuff to be able to really see it?

 Re: ute
so when you rub it back you can see easily the imperfections as they stand out like dogs b*&ls. Primer is mostly light colour and guide coat is mostly dark = high contrast.
