Yea i took them off about year ago. Looks better and more jap like, will sell those seats soon enough for some nice trational corbas.

The Datsun symbol looks different that the other 2 GX grills I've seen. One had the 'SSS' logo, that other has the Datsun symbol in a circle which is split into 3 equal bits....if you know what I mean.

Is this a Ute GX grille?

The emblem in the middle of the grille is correct for sedans & wagons. I think a cheaper, more plain version was used on 1970 to 73 utes, but can't be sure as a still haven't located my 1200 Ute parts fiche.
The emblem that is divided like a pie into three segments is a coupe item.

That particular GX badge is not shown in my 1200 parts book, while other GX badges are, so I presume that it is from another Datsun model. It certainly looks the part none-the-less.

Dattodude is correct. Its the front guard badge off a stanza. Ripped them off a stanza at the wrecker. Hit it with the toothbrush and ajax jif stuff and it came up treat. Heres when the idea came from.

Haha.... Was waiting for someone to pick up on what was up here. Its not really a GX 1200 grille or badge. Its just a 1200 sedan grille with a Stanza GX badge glazed on

I think it looks the part I reckon. I never claimed it to be a GX 1200 grille, i said GX grille maybe?

Datsun 1200 GX Sedans used this grille. Like I said, it's a sedan & wagon grille, GX or DeLuxe, it doesn't matter, it still looks good.
