 Re: Engine 1 Have an SU carb but it wont fit on the port side of the engine so I guess I will have to go over the top of the valve cover... Need to modify alternator mount and cut down pipe for coolant.

 Re: Engine 1 plenum style exhaust manifold.... interesting. going to have a fun time getting to those inlet ports... Blow through or suck through? Looks like it could go either way in that picture.

 Re: Engine 1 Yeah, the exhaust manifold from the original vehicle was plenum style as was the intake manifold..
There is no problem getting to the inlet ports, I have lots of space, this pic doesnt show it too well.
The only problem is clearance if I go over the top of the valve cover.. as you know those SU carbs are quite tall dimensionally

 Re: Engine 1 hey couldnt you just put the alternator on the other side at the top of the engine or are you trying to hide it ??
btw good work on the manifold ,if only the one i did was that tidy and organised !
