Re: Nissan Competition Differential oil cooler pump
The works 1200s ran these pumps. I have some some photos of the set up that I'll scan. I have an oil cooler that was out of a coupe. Back in the olden days when I crewed on Commodores the trick was to use a slightly modified Holley Blue fuel pumps to circulate the diff and gearbox oil. I can't recall ever having one fail. The pumps were only used once the oil had warmed up and was easy to pump.

None of the Datsuns came with these stock, they're still available from Nissan Motorsports but they're not cheap at all from what I can remember! It's got to be one heavy duty pump for that thick gear oil going through it! If you planned on doing prolonged HIGH speed driving I'd probably invest in one of these.

I can't say whether or not any ever anywhere had them, but I've not seen nor heard of it.

This is from Nissan Competition. Here are the part numbers:
21660-P9000 OIL PUMP ASSY
21664-P9000 BRACKET/OIL PUMP
21652-P9000 OIL COOLER ASSY

I do not know if they are still available.

looks like halve of it is either from a windscreen wiper motor or starter

Feral have a look at the latest fast fours and rotaries mag it has steve newings fantastic race car in detail with all the pics of its amazingly custom constructed bits and pieces. Youll see an awesome differential with the alternator running of it and so on.

Would you know if the ga16e head would go on the e16s engine? Ive posted a thread just then with the links to some specs but would need to get the head gaskets to see the (if any ;) differences....
