yeah that's a head scratcher ...

it's obviously not an issue of engine fitment, so maybe it's about homologation?

yes, at least two KGB210's made it to Portugal.

Your friend's car is important, because it does not appear to have been modified.

In lieu of a ZA sales brochure, his car shows us how these beasts might've looked on the showroom floor.

The battery.

And while we're on the subject, this is the reason for the spacious RSP.

ahh, we have an iron curtain buff among us ....

the two KGB210's were, as you probably know, secreted to portugal by soviet defectors

the remaining examples were soon drained of their bodily fluids and welded together to form a giant replica of lenin's head

My theory is that we have to mount an expedition into Lybia.
Muhamar Kadaffi used to intercept the Russian defectors trying to leave Africa and russian operations down there. His strategic location at the nothern tip of Africa makes his country the logic plataform to transition from Africa into Europe. It is said that the aforementioned dictator owns a vast collection of "Excellents" and "Z's" of the 140/160 type.

That was the main reason US did not attack Lybia in the 80's , that would had meant an attack against the remnants of what once was a dynamic 140/160Z fleet . That would had meant to subject it great perill and uncertain future.

Wow - the thickness of that rad-support looks almost strange - what's under there? Room for a biiiiiiig intercooler - that's what.

 Re: 160Z Engine Bay
There is really not much under there. The 160Z has a peaked front panel and a peaked grille. Hmmm... cool and cooler. It all fits together.

For details on 160Z, see Club article - PB210
