Pigdog

What did you use to prepare and paint your calipers - I'm planning on rebuilding some this weekend.

i just took them all apart and hit them with the wire wheel on the bench grinder, and then a few cans of brake cleaner

then used VHT caliper paint and a heat gun so i could apply many coats in a shorter time
then just left them over night and they were all good

Thanks for the tip pigdog - I don't have a bench grinder - but I've got a drill so that will do.

Looking forward to giving it a go this weekend.

Was going to look around for a sandblaster, but this way doesn't seem to hard either.

I'll post a pic or two (although they are for my boy's LJ....which is sadly not a Datsun)

one full can, well use the left overs from one, then bought another and had a bit left over

so one can should do the job, its almost a whole millimetre of paint on them now
